Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
NapCue is operated by ROAMEI INC, a corporation incorporated under the laws of Ontario, Canada ("we", "us", "our"). We operate the NapCue mobile application and website at napcue.com (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in via Apple or Google, the name and profile information those services provide. You may also set a display name within the app.
2.2 Baby Profile Data
To generate sleep predictions you provide your baby's first name, date of birth, and biological sex. This information is stored on your account and is never shared with other users unless you explicitly invite a caregiver.
2.3 Activity Logs
The core function of NapCue is logging baby activities. We store every entry you record, including: nap and night-sleep times, breastfeeding and bottle sessions, solid food meals, diaper changes, medicine doses, milestone events, and free-form notes you attach to any entry.
2.4 Parent Wellness Data
Premium users may log daily mood check-ins and free-form journal entries. This data is stored privately on your account and is never shared with caregivers or third parties.
2.5 Usage and Device Data
We collect standard technical information to operate and improve the Service: IP address, device model, operating system version, app version, and crash/error reports. We do not use persistent advertising identifiers.
2.6 Waitlist Email
If you join the waitlist on napcue.com, we collect your email address and store it with our email service provider, Brevo (see §5).
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the NapCue Service, including generating personalized nap predictions.
- Sync your data across devices and with invited caregivers.
- Send push notifications (nap window alerts and reminders) that you configure within the app.
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, caregiver invitations).
- Send occasional product update emails to waitlist and registered users; you may opt out at any time.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.
4. A Note on Children's Data (COPPA)
NapCue is designed for use by parents and caregivers who are 18 years of age or older. The Service tracks data about infants and children as entered by an adult account holder — it does not collect data from children, and children do not create accounts or interact with the Service directly.
In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable Canadian privacy law, we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child, please contact us at support@napcue.com and we will promptly delete it.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with the following trusted processors solely to operate the Service:
Supabase — Database, authentication, and real-time sync
Your activity logs, baby profile, and account credentials are stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure.
Brevo (Sendinblue) — Transactional and marketing email
Your email address is stored in Brevo to send waitlist confirmations and product updates.
Apple / Google — Optional social sign-in and App Store / Play Store subscription billing
If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, those providers share limited profile data with us per their own privacy policies. Subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google — NapCue never receives your payment card details.
Vercel — Website hosting (napcue.com)
Web requests to napcue.com are routed through Vercel infrastructure.
We require all processors to maintain appropriate security measures and prohibit them from using your data for any purpose beyond providing services to us.
6. Caregiver Sharing
If you invite a caregiver, that person will be able to view and log activity for the baby profile you share with them. Caregivers cannot view your parent wellness journal, mood history, or account credentials. You may remove a caregiver's access at any time in Settings → Family.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete Account), we permanently delete your personal data, baby profiles, and all activity logs within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregate data (e.g., aggregate sleep statistics not linked to any individual) may be retained indefinitely.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request erasure of your data (or delete your account directly in-app).
- Portability — export your activity logs via Settings → Account → Export Data (CSV).
- Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Lodge a complaint — residents of Canada may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; EU residents may contact their local supervisory authority.

9. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure; if you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.
10. International Data Transfers
ROAMEI INC is based in Ontario, Canada. Our service providers (Supabase, Brevo, Vercel) may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We ensure adequate protections are in place through contractual safeguards with each provider.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify registered users by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
